I haven't had these shoes very long, so I can't speak to their longevity, but they served my purpose well. On a trip to Jamaica, I climbed Dunn's River Falls wearing these shoes. My footing always felt very secure! I believe I can safely say the shoes provide excellent traction. The ankle lacing holds them on very well--that was a feature I wanted to make sure I had so that the shoes wouldn't be likely to slip off.
The shoes were comfortable in the water, but when I first tried them on at home and wore them around the house a bit, they chafed. On top, where the emblem is attached, there are apparently some threads and seams that rubbed my foot uncomfortably. Again, this was not a problem in the water; the shoes were quite comfy there.
I love the color (fuchsia and pink). Size 9 was a good fit for my feet which measure an 8 1/2. They were long enough without being prone to slipping off.
These shoes are a good deal for the price. If you do water aerobics frequently, I'd suggest spending a bit more to get shoes with better support. For occasional use, these are fine. Again, the traction is AWESOME and I felt very safe from slips and falls.
