I bought these because a shoe store was going out of business, and everything was 70% off.
So this was not a researched buy.
I wanted something I could run on the treadmill with, and I run heavy on my heals.
These are BY FAR the lightest shoes I ever owned.
The pebbled sole allows for flexing in any direction, and the shoes provide a really good cushion in the heal.
The mesh (that I thought was cheap) has actually held up very well, and allows for LOTS of air flow.
The ankles are padded, and low (I have low ankles) so they do not dig into my ankle even a little.
I wear these with UA HeatGear Lowcut Black socks, and so I have NEVER had a problem with sweating.
I have had these for 4 months.
I run every Saturday for 2 hours.
I have Boxing Followed by MuayThai (lots of Kicks), every Monday and Friday. 2 Hours each.
I have Krav Maga (lots of kicks) every Wednesday. 2 Hours.
There is VERY LITTLE wear on the Balls of the feet, and Inner edge of the Ball of the foot. Everything else (including the Instep and lases) are holding up nicely.
I am a Size 10.5, with my left foot feeling more comfortable in a size 10.
I got a size 10.5, and I have 2 happy feet.
Also, My first two toes are the same length, and the tip of these shoes seems designed for this. No cramped 2nd toe.
I will say, the width of the sole of the shoe is a little more narrow then I like for fighting.
I normally like a cross-trainer since there is more Lateral motion in Krav, and more rotating motion in Boxing, and running shoes are normally designed for forward-to-back traction.
It's just that these are so comfortable, and they are holding up very well.
This is why I continue to use them in a manner they were not designed for.
