This pic is after a month of wearing them nearly every day. She is very active, so the shoes have logged a lot of miles on the playground. Daughter fell in love with these pink sparkly shoes. I think she thought they had super powers to help her run faster. She wears them nearly everyday and have held up pretty well considering she does things like dragging her feet while biking. As a result, some of the glitter on the toes has worn away but you have to be really looking to notice it.

We bought a pair in blue for our 2 yr old girl and in red for our 4 yr old boy. It is very cute when they are both wearing them. Most importantly, these shoes have been comfortable and durable. We are always very careful about shoes
, and when the kids were younger we stuck to the expensive "soft soled" brands (Pedipeds, See Kai Run). But for outdoor play these are perfect. I have tried "adult-brand" kids sneakers before but those were too heavy, stiff,and the soles were too thick. These ones are low and light but still protective. Kids can put them on themselves (when they're feeling cooperative!), and the velcro strap keeps them snug. The straps have stretched out a little but they still fit snugly. Soles and leather still look perfect after 6-9 months. Also -- these are the kids' favorite shoes too. So you may have trouble taking them into the fancy Mary Janes or whatever once you buy these. :)
