Six out of Five StarsI'm very, very sorry I put these boots on directly out of the box as soon as they came to my house because I am never taking them off ever again. Everything about them is absolutely perfect. I got the ones in chocolate brown and the color is a nice, dark buff. The laces are cord-style, but not stiff in any way and very easy to tie and adjust. I won't be using them much, though, because the zippers down the inside are more than adequate for getting me into and out of the boot. I'm considering replacing them with lace, because "combat boot" is only the style, not the attitude. These would look *adorable* with white lace laces.
As for the pockets, the zippers only go about halfway down, but the pocket only goes that far, so it isn't a functional issue. A perk of that same function, however, is that above the ankle the boot is wide and supple, allowing both for a good range of movement while wearing the boot and a pocket deep enough to hold cards, cash, and even a key or two.
Another thing I love about these boots is that they're substantial, but they don't make my feet look big. I'm a tall woman, and I have relatively large feet. The narrow sole, blunted toe, and wide ankle give the boots all the "boot-itude" a combat boot should have without exaggerating the size of my actual foot.
These boots are functional, comfortable, and they make my feet look cute. That's as close to "life-changing" as a pair of shoes gets. :-)

All around great boots.
I was a little nervous about ordering boots on Amazon because my feet are wide and my right foot seems to be slightly longer than my left but I'm happy to report these boots are great. They are fairly roomy without feeling overly wide quite comfortable. I wore them to work and was worried that after a few hours, I would start feeling uncomfortable since all my shoes generally need to be broken in, but I was fine. The zipper along the length of the boot makes it incredibly easy to take on and off, and the laces make it easy to adjust to make them tighter or looser. My co-worker really loved them as well and is ordering a pair for herself. I can see where these are going to be my go to boot this fall and winter since they are comfortable and stylish. Thinking about ordering a different style boot from the same company since they are so reasonably priced.

My boyfriend got me these for my birthday and I put them on the moment he gave them to me, because I have wanted these boots for awhile. I must say it was well worth the wait. He bought me a half size up because he read they run a bit small. So remember, you will love these boots if you buy the right size. I love mine, they are comfortable and when i go out to like a concert or show i just put my money, ID and Debit cards in the little zip up part on the shoe and leave my purse in the car and I'm good :) I would highly recommend buying these. I have the black ones and I wore them camping last weekend and they did awesome. Got a little dirty, they didn't scuff at all. I just cleaned them up when i got back and polished them with some black shoe polish and they looked brand new again. Very good quality boot for a very reasonable price. I never want to wear anything else. I plan on buying the purple ones and another black pair. Possibly the brown pair too...hmmm i might just buy all the colors lol but trust me, don't over think this because its worth the buy. I promise.
