Best sport shoe I have ever owned!
I have to wear orthotic with metatarsal support. It is very difficult for me to find shoes that have enough toe room, but still according to the shape of my foot. I bought this in 13 4e and they fit perfectly. They are so light and free of a tight feeling in my feet that they feel like house slippers! However, they also have tremendous support and lateral stability. I never wear other shoes that even comes close to this!
Great shoes, but you should try it before buying
I run 20-25 k/week and I've been using Asics and Nike shoes for so long. This is my first NB and I have read a lot before buying it. I wear a 9.5 D to 9 d and Nike for most brands and found in many sites that for this one (NB M890v4) I have to buy a 9.5. I bought these shoes on Amazon and have it delivered at my hotel for 2 days trip to Miami with her busy schedule. I know I will not have time to find a store NB. As v4 has just launched and I couldn't find it in my country, I assume the risk of buying D 9,5 without trying before.
Just by chance, I found myself in front of a store and tried NB 9.5 2E. Even that's a little more comfortable than D. I don't need to buy 2E before, always use a D, so I can't imagine it's going to be different with this model. When I have time to go back and order a 2E, D I decided to keep the 9.5 d. anyway, after a few runs, the truth is that so far I'm really happy with the 9.5 d. it is very light and comfortable, great running experience.
If you are new to NB as I am, you should give it a try before you buy
These are great shoes, although a little bright
I wear as a narrow shoe, so my options are limited, even online; It is available in my size. I have been wearing new balance for several years, and this did not disappoint. What first caught my attention was the color. It seems as if most of what is available is white or black or neon type colors. Black and white shows dirt really bad and hard to keep looking decent, so they know as far as I'm concerned. This color is OK-yellow and blue are quite bright, but at least livable. One item that caught my attention is that it is desribed at one web site (NewBalance?) as being anti-pronating-means that they help to keep you from turning your foot inward. I have a problem, so I want to try them. They have solid arch and heel support seems to be better supported in the inner side. It takes some quick exercises to break them in, but now they're real comfortable. They seem well made (as they should be for $ 90), and I am happy with them; I'd be happier if they liked the last couple of years my two pairs of previous NBs.
Great shoe, great replacement for 890v2's.
I rotated 3 pairs of 890v2 's for the last 2 years (I have two pair on the permit when v3 was released.) I'm finally down to 1 install v2 in and needed to buy a new pair of rotations. I don't even read the reviews here and ordered my regular size 13D. I take them out for a 3 mile run fast and really liked the flavor and size. I feel they fit such as v2. They have a flexibility that I've come to really like about v2 and I feel a little softer. They just might feel this way because they are new and old worn out Shoes v2 I. I plan on buying a pair of v4 in the next few months and buy another pair on the permit when v5 released. The shoes are great. I live in Florida and the last month has been really hot. This shoe does a great job of breathing and don't get too wet. I wear socks Balega hidden dry and love the combination with these shoes.
